Oh no, don’t cry. It’s okay – we’ll be back in 2025! 😎
SEO & SAIO
- Gemini 2.0 is here. What does that mean? AI Overviews can handle “more complex topics and multi-step questions, including math equations, multimodal queries and coding.” That’s pretty cool… but we will have to judge for correctness when we see it.
- Just when you thought it was over… Google’s December 2024 core update has commenced! It’s expected to last 2 weeks and is updating a different system from the November core update. As of now, the specifics of the updates are unknown, but we’ll keep you posted as we uncover things.
- It’s that time of year again… Google Trends has published its Year In Search. This year’s version lets you search keyword trends by country and categories, including Trending, Entertainment, Sports, Music, Food & Lifestyle, etc. In the U.S. version (which we are providing a link to), you can search trends by location or zip code. FYI, the top Near Me search for our office location in Princeton was “eclipse glasses near me.” Did you also forget the eclipse was this year?
- An oldie, but a goodie. Need a refresher on canonical tags? Check out this Moz Whiteboard video from a few years ago.

- The CMO Survey Fall Edition included CMOs’ marketing budget change forecasts for the next twelve months by area (e.g., CRM, brand building, new products intros, etc. ) and economic sector (e.g., B2C and B2B products and services). B2B Products Budgets are forecast to have the highest budget increases across 4 of 5 areas surveyed. There is also a finding that CMOs are more focused on short-term brand performance (68.8% of budget spend) vs. long-term brand building.
Thoughts to Take With You… 💞
This year, you will have taken approximately 7.5 million breaths.
What did you do with those breaths?
Think about all that you accomplished… all the challenges you overcame… all the smiles you caused….
Let’s send gratitude for each breath, person, place, thing that we experienced this year, because they can help us become stronger, kinder people.
Happy 2025, ev’rybody!
Natalie
