Can it really already be the middle of August? Time is flying!
And that means it’s time again for What’s Hot Wednesday for Marketers. This week’s briefing covers opinions about Facebook Ads Manager interface, what’s becoming of the CMO title, and news about Google’s algorithm change that’s all about time. And we shout out to The Suppers Program in this week’s Do Good Spotlight. So here you go:
- Marketing Land has an interesting compilation of advertisers’ feedback to the new Facebook Ads Manager interface. Oh yes, you do want to read this. Our take? It’s just a prettier version, which is easier on the eyes, so there’s that…but there weren’t any real improvements to functionality.
- And here’s “marketoonist” Tom Fishburne’s comic and discussion of CMOs and their titles disappearing.
Do Good Spotlight on: The Suppers Program
People with eating disorders have all kinds of issues around food. The Suppers Program helps people with food-related challenges learn to recover through learn-by-doing activities where they cook, taste, and feel their way to better health. The Suppers mission is to provide safe and friendly settings where anyone, and especially people with food-related health challenges, can develop and manage their own personal transitions to a healthier life. We loved what we learned about this organization and donated to help support their work.
- SEO news on Google’s time-related updated. This algorithm addition now understands when the query requires timely and relevant information, even if the words in the search query don’t include a date or time.
