I hope you have great plans for tomorrow and that you can turn the 4th into a long weekend. In the meantime, here are stories that caught our attention this short week I wanted to share with you:
- Here’s an article about “traffic forecasting”, a form of predictive analytics, from Search Engine Watch
- And this article from Search Engine Land talks about how The Wayback Machine has a new beta feature that tracks content changes and lets you do side-by-side comparisons of different captures over time, with changes highlighted
Do Good Spotlight: The Sierra Club Foundation
The Sierra Club Foundation promotes climate solutions, conservation, and movement building through strategic philanthropy and grassroots advocacy. And it’s the fiscal sponsor of Sierra Club’s charitable environmental programs. It scores a 95.21 on Charity Navigator. And as we do for our “Do Good Spotlight” organization every week, we made a donation to show our support. If their mission resonates with you, perhaps you and/or your company can do the same.
- From MediaPost, results of a study by Outreach that shows for B2B marketers, best to avoid emoji’s in the subject line. “Why?” you ask. Here’s why: a 42% drop in responses!
Notice how we managed not to talk about Google, Facebook, or Amazon this week? Please let me know if this brief was helpful and if you have thoughts for topics you’d like to see covered in future editions.
For now, here’s wishing you a happy 4th of July!
