Welcome to the latest issue of What’s Hot Wednesday for Marketers.
This week we’re buzzing about voice messages through Instagram, new features for Google Assistant, and a product sampling ad test from Amazon.
Instagram’s New Voice Message Feature
Social media platforms are always looking for new ways to connect with your network. To enhance its offerings, Instagram recently released its newest attempt at personalizing direct messages…voice messaging. The messages give users a full minute of audio and can be sent through conversations.

New Features for Google Assistant
In order to compete with Amazon and other smart speaker products, Google continues to add new features to its popular Google Assistant. The company recently announced that users can now book hotels with several hotel chains, check into United Airlines flights, and perform some foreign language translation. Google Assistant will also be available for Google Maps to send texts, play podcasts or music through the app.
