This week’s What’s Hot Wednesday covers two new types of posts in Google Posts, the introduction of carousel ads on LinkedIn, and Facebook’s entry in the gaming video space. Read below to find out what DBE is buzzing about this week:
- Google Posts Adds Products and Offers
Google has added two new types of Google Posts, product posts and offer posts within their Google Business Listing. The product posts will emphasize specific products the business sells and the offer posts will provide promotional sales or offers from the business.
- LinkedIn Rolls Out Carousel Ads
To make advertising stand out more to consumers, LinkedIn rolled out a new format with a carousel that can include up to ten images. The ads were offered to a beta test of 300 advertisers and 75% of those saw a lift in click through rates compared to standard sponsored content ads.
- Facebook Experimenting with Gaming Video
To complete with the enormous popularity of gaming video sites like Twitch and Mixer, Facebook is testing a new destination for live and pre-recorded gaming video called FB.GG. Their expansion into gaming will include video as well as tips and best practices for both gaming creators and fans.
