SEO & SAIO

  • TechCrunch has news that “Anthropic’s new AI model can control your PC.” It’s part of the new upgrade release for Claude 3.5 Sonnet. Take a breath first, this isn’t exactly like Meta. You need to instruct and prompt Claude to use your computer software tools to carry out tasks. Still, this capability continues to close the gap between who or what is running the show. PS – Claude is included in our new SAIO Glossary Blog. Check it out to see why Claude is not a primary target for SAIO. 
  • On that note, Google is doing something similar with its ‘Jarvis’ AI agent. It will take over your Chrome web browser to help you accomplish web-based tasks. Jarvis is said to be powered by Gemini 2.0 and may be making its way to preview mode “as early as December.”
  • When calculators were introduced in schools, it caused some students to get worse at mental math. Same thing can happen with AI and marketers. Brands/products/services are meant to solve a problem – a human problem. Over-relying on AI will add efficiency, but will remove the human experience bit by bit. This Ad Age article has some great points on that.

  • This news may make you take a pause – literally. You don’t have to give your keys to the Meta ad kingdom, they’re just taking them with their new “automatic adjustments.” The feature can control everything from pausing/activating campaigns, adjusting budgets and even consolidating audience segmentations. Our recommendation: opt out of this new feature now. Some people have noted that the feature was automatically turned on, so definitely check your account settings!
  • MarTech is searching for unique ways to use GenAI. It initially appears to be written for email marketers but the concepts presented apply to all marketers. Here’s a quick preview of the use cases provided:
    • Enhance your marketing foundations…by leveraging GenAI to gather available competitive marketing data/insights including features/benefits analyses, pricing details, target audiences, etc.
    • Receive persona feedback on your marketing campaigns… by training GenAI to act like a customer or prospect type.
    • Create charts and graphs from raw data… with GenAI instead of DIY in Excel.

Are you stressed about something that hasn’t happened yet?

Anyone can get wrapped up in doom-spiraling “what-ifs.” But, what if we combat those thoughts with how we can handle what comes at us?

If you’re scared you won’t get the job, visualize… 

  • How you would take any outcome with humility and strength
  • When you’ve confidently handled rejection in the past
  • Positive opportunities that could arise (could be learning from the experience)

Whatever the situation, there are more outcomes than just the scary ones. Have faith that you’re strong enough to handle whatever gets thrown your way. The fact that you’re where you are now is a feat in itself.
